Bottoms Up Swimwear was created by fashion designer Stephanie Rotuna. Stephanie is a  fashion design graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. During her schooling, she was a part time bartender at The Blue Martini, a local upscale martini bar. While working at Blue, she was approached by a photographer who asked her to do a photo shoot for a bikini team. Being a mere 5'0, she didn't take the modeling job too seriously since most models are substantially taller than she. Stephanie set up a modeling page but didn’t think much would come of it. She was greatly mistaken!  Before she knew it, she was contacted by clients from all over the globe to do modeling jobs. Stephanie shattered the stereotype that a model had to be tall to be successful. She appeared in many major magazines including Maxim, FHM, Muscle Mag, and American Curves to name a few. Steph; however, did have one barrier to conquer: that was finding swimsuits to fit her tiny frame. She focused on swim wear classes at the Art Institute, and started dabbling in creating her own suits. Soon thereafter, Steph began to put her thoughts to action. She started illustrating her ideas, creating patterns, sourcing fabrics, and sewing her own samples. Her work place inspired the "bikini /cocktail" concept. Her talent allowed her ideas to fly. Stephanie wanted her suits to have an edgy style- a combination of girly and flirty with a splash of fun! She wanted suits that were tiny, but well put together and unique. She was a tough task master and determined to have her concept work, and work it did! The Bottoms Up Swimwear web site is up and running with numerous boutique shops knocking on the door. Stephanies first collection will be launched at fashion shows in Las Vegas, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. Her passion is fashion, and this is just the beginning of what this young lady is going to bring to the table... Bottoms Up everyone!!
